Wow!!  So much has been going on....I hardly know where to start!!

Pixie is doing well!!  We took her to the vets a few weeks ago to get her fixed and she was back to normal within a day.  Although the vet said to keep her still....it was virtually impossible. 

Well....we finally have our backyard completed!!  I can't believe it took so long.  It's not like it's big......it's maybe 15ft X 18ft!  Money and energy to do it were the biggest factors!!  The pond has some fish in it...and I'm told a couple toads living under the waterfall.  I have lots of flowers.....a strawberry plant and a rhubarb plant....mmmm....rhubarb pie!!!  We've got bamboo torches and a firebowl for the patio! I love it out there now.  I'll have to take some pictures and show the before and after!

Although Chelsea's birthday was 2 weeks ago.....yesterday I had a surprise birthday/grad party for her!!  She had no clue.  She actually thought that we were having a party for my friend Erin and that Erin thought she was coming for a candle party.  Chelsea even helped to decorate the room!! LOL!!  We walked in and she saw Erin sitting at the table...when everyone yelled surprise she thought it was because we were late....and even when I said surprise she still didn't clue in!!  I'm a little disappointed that none of Zak's family showed up....and only my aunt (who is 96) showed up from my family.  Oh well...Chelsea was happy and totally hyped that we got her a guitar!!  She has hardly parted with it since she opened it!!

Less than 9 weeks until Amy's baby makes her appearance!!  There was a bay shower for her on the weekend.  Unfortunately...a 13 hour drive-one-way for me....is a bit much to go to a shower!

Chelsea had track & field today.  I took the day off to go watch.  It was a gorgeous day for it.  She competed in 5 events....long jump, high jump, 800m, shot put and 100m.  She came first in the high jump, shot put and 100m so that means she will be going on to the county finals!!

This Friday is the Cancer Society Relay For Life.  It's an overnight non-competitive relay
that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to the lives of loved ones. It
involves teams of 10 people who take turns walking, running or strolling around
a track to raise money to support the work of the Canadian Cancer Society. It's
a night of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.  Chelsea and I will be walking in memory of my grandmother....who lost a very courageous battle against cancer in 1991....and in honour of my friend Kelly....who continues to survive! If anyone is interested in making a donation....you can still pledge online.

Well we asked for an update and we got one.... now we know why you havent been posting; life certainly has been busy for you lately.

Tonia I am honored. Thank you for thinking about me for your relay. I am speechless and I really don’t know what to say! Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough. I have been going through a pretty hard time as of late. I am having surgery on June 4th to remove a growth. I feel pretty alone right now in my life and with what’s going on health wise and money wise. Anyway I really just want to say thank it really does mean the world to me!

Wow Tonia you have been busy! I am so glad to hear a smile in your writing again. Congrats to Chelsea! Sounds like she is quite an athlete and a musician.
